Amazon Launches New Netflix Competitor

Amazon has announced the launch of an unlimited, commercial-free instant streaming movie and TV show service for Amazon Prime members. The service will give subscribers access to 5,000 movies and shows. Prime members will not be charged any extra. The price will remain $79 per year for the membership. Yahoo Launches Finance App For The iPad

Russian Official Faults Google For "Manipulations" In Egypt

Google's attempts to "do no evil" and defend Wael Ghonim may have raised the Russian government's ire.  Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin has been quoted blaming more than one executive for contributing to the Egyptian revolution. Google Awards $2.7 Million Grant To International Press Institute

Google said today it has awarded a $2.7 million grant to the International Press Institute (IPI), based in Vienna, to sponsor the “IPI News Innovation Contest,” a project aimed at creating breakthrough ideas in digital news.
